We work at the ecosystem level — not just the individual level
Springs of Hope is a community-based non-profit organisation preparing to launch its full programme operations across Southern Ontario in 2026.
Building the systems behind inclusive entrepreneurship
Built on the conviction that inclusive economic growth depends on strong, coordinated support systems — not just strong individual entrepreneurs — SOH focuses on the organisations, networks, and systems that make entrepreneurship possible for everyone.
Our work will strengthen the capacity of support organisations, improve coordination across the ecosystem, and ensure that more people — particularly those from underserved and diverse communities — can access the help they need to build and sustain successful ventures.

Alongside, not around.
Our engagement model is built on trust, collaborative design, and a genuine commitment to the communities we serve. We do not deliver and disappear — we accompany.
Listen and Assess
We begin by understanding the specific context, challenges, and goals of each organisation — through genuine inquiry and respect for local knowledge and community experience.
Co-design the Engagement
Every programme and advisory engagement is scoped collaboratively — ensuring the approach is culturally appropriate, practically useful, and locally relevant from the outset.
Deliver and Accompany
SOH walks alongside organisations through implementation — providing ongoing advisory support, troubleshooting challenges in real time, and adapting as required.
Connect to the Ecosystem
Every engagement strengthens connections to the broader support network — referrals, partnerships, and community of practice membership across Southern Ontario.
SOH Approach at a Glance
SOH as coordinated entry point: We connect organisations to the right resources across the whole support ecosystem — including services beyond our own programmes.

Submit an Enquiry →What does Springs of Hope actually do? +
SOH delivers non-financial organisational and ecosystem supports across Southern Ontario — including training, mentorship, governance guidance, and ecosystem convening. We work with both the organisations that support entrepreneurs and with entrepreneurs themselves, with the goal of making the entire support system more effective, coordinated, and equitable.
Does SOH provide grants or direct funding? +
No. SOH's mandate is exclusively non-financial. We do not provide grants, loans, or capital investment. Where financial support is needed, we can assist organisations and individuals in identifying and navigating appropriate funding opportunities through our ecosystem network and connections.
How is SOH different from an incubator or accelerator? +
SOH operates at the ecosystem level — not solely the individual venture level. Rather than accelerating individual businesses, we strengthen the organisations that support many entrepreneurs and actively improve coordination across the support system. We function as infrastructure for the ecosystem, not a programme for individual entrepreneurs.
Who can access SOH's programmes? +
SOH works with entrepreneurship support organisations, community-based groups, and individual entrepreneurs across Southern Ontario — with a particular focus on organisations and individuals from diverse, immigrant, and racialised backgrounds who face structural barriers to accessing mainstream support systems.
How can funders and government partners engage with SOH? +
We welcome conversations with funders and government partners seeking to improve the collective impact of the organisations they support. SOH can provide ecosystem mapping, coordinated capacity-building across a grantee portfolio, gap analysis, and support for regional ecosystem strategy development.
Where is Springs of Hope based? +
SOH is headquartered at 1034 Reflection Place, Unit 303, Pickering, ON L1X 0L1 and operates across Southern Ontario. Contact us at [email protected] or visit www.springsofhope.ca.
